How MTF Pitch works
We are looking for early-stage startups driving innovation in tech. If you're building something bold and scalable, this is your chance to secure funding, mentorship, and industry connections. Four finalists will pitch live onstage at MTF London on June 21st, 2025, in front of top investors and tech leaders.
To enter, introduce your idea with:
- A one pager, or pitch deck
- A 60-second video pitch
If you’re selected:
- Pitch your idea on stage at MTF London 2025
- Answer questions from our judging panel of investors and entrepreneurs

Our criteria on startup eligibility does not exclude non-Muslim founders. We are looking for startups:
- where at least one co-founder is Muslim, or
- that are Muslim-focussed, or
- that align with the values of Muslim Tech Fest

The £30K prize is structured as a real investment, not a grant. Our terms are designed to be founder-friendly and support your growth journey.
For UK-incorporated startups: We invest as an angel syndicate under SEIS with minimal equity percentage and no valuation cap, maximising tax benefits while giving you flexibility. For startups incorporated elsewhere, we use Most Favoured Nation (MFN) SAFE agreement. This simple document has no valuation cap and no discount rate, ensuring you get maximum flexibility for your next fundraising round.

We created MTF Pitch because we believe in making capital more accessible to founders. Our investment terms reflect this philosophy - we want to give you funding with minimal constraints so you can focus on building your business. The £30K is designed to be a catalyst for your growth, not a complicated financial instrument.

The MTF Pitch investment serves as either an extension of your current round or as the first check in your next round. It’s designed to help you close existing rounds or catalyze new ones. Please keep in mind we may ask for additional proof of previous investment or some indication your next round is imminent.

Preferably, yes. We are unlikely to invest in your startup if you are not taking yourself seriously. However, we do give you an option on the application form to signal that you intend to incorporate soon. We appreciate that many founders in our community will use this money to leave their current jobs and go full-time, of which incorporation is part of the process.

No. This is a straightforward equity or SAFE investment without board seats or special control provisions.

We understand the risks of early-stage investing. There are no clawback provisions - we’re betting on your success. If things don’t work out the first time, we strongly encourage you to go again and apply for the next competition too!

No. We accept applications globally, though the investment structure will vary based on your incorporation location.
